Screws ETANCO How is the reference chosen?
A screw that is too short won't hold. A screw that is unsuitable for the material will ruin the seal of the drilled hole.
This determines the reference
The type of purlin. The designation index corresponds to the steel drilling capacity: ZACROVIS 6 and ZACROVIS 8 on cold-formed purlins, ZACROVIS 12 for supports up to 12 mm, hot-rolled and I-beams. In timber framing, ZACROVIS BOIS and MONOVIS BOIS.
The type of roofing. Dry tray, sandwich panel, or fiber cement sheet do not belong to the same family. Fiber cement falls under MONOVIS, with a factory-fitted Ø25 stainless steel/EPDM dome washer.
The thickness of the insulation. This is what determines the length. In dry trays, 75 to 130 mm is sufficient; as soon as insulation is added, allow 160 mm and beyond, up to the double-thread versions which take over the outer skin of the panel without crushing the insulation when tightening.
Distance to the sea. Beyond 3 km, case-hardened steel with SUPRACOAT 2C coating is required. At 3 km or less, stainless steel is required: DRILLNOX and CAPINOX, available upon request . This criterion is addressed before all others and is disqualifying.

Depending on the type of purlin, the HELIOS B², KOGYSUN + and KOGYSUN I+ systems cover wood or steel applications.
MONOVIS — 8 mm hexagonal head wing screw, factory-fitted sealing washer. 2C steel version and hot-dip galvanized WOOD version, both for fiber cement board, system FIBRO SOLAR .
FASTOVIS 4PI — short screw 5.5x25 with galvanized vulcanized washer Ø14, for fixing accessories on sheet metal from 1.5 to 4 mm.

What is the difference between ZACROVIS 6, 8 and 12?
Drilling capacity in steel: up to 6, 8, or 12 mm. The ZACROVIS 12 is designed for hot-rolled purlins and I-beams. A ZACROVIS 6 on an I-beam will either jam or break.
What type of screw is needed for a fiber cement board?
MONOVIS 12 TH8 2C Ø6.3x130 on metal purlin, MONOVIS BOIS TH8 GàC Ø6.5x130 on timber frame. Both are supplied with a pre-installed sealing washer. Associated system: FIBRO SOLAR .
What does DF mean in an ETANCO designation?
Double thread. The second thread engages the outer skin of the sandwich panel, preventing the insulation from being crushed during tightening and the rail from becoming uneven. Required for sandwich panels, unnecessary for dry panels.
