The world's second-largest shipper of modules by 2025, LONGi Green Energy Technology (Xi'an, China, 2000) has made back-contact its industrial signature rather than a niche product line. • LR7-54HVH — 485 and 490 Wp . Monoverre RG4 , black frame on white background, 1800 mm, 21.6 kg. Carbon footprint PPE2 and PPE2 V2.

• LR7-60HVD — 530 Wp . Dual glass Bifacial with transparent base , 1990 mm, 28 kg. For poses leaving a usable albedo: Trapezoidal sheet metal clear, white membrane Ground . The only range available in versions with and without carbon footprint assessment ( residential market ).

What the HPBC 2.0 back contact changes on a construction site

• Partial shading — without busbars on the front face, a shaded cell only penalizes its own production. On roofs with chimneys, bases, or superstructures, this is the most frequent source of loss.

• Surface density — 238 to 241 Wp /m² depending on the range. On a constrained surface, it's one less module per string at equal power.

• Mechanical resistance — thickened wafers, half-wafer cutting rather than half-cell cutting, in-line welding: fewer micro-cracks during transport and installation.

• Temperature coefficient of −0.26%/°C , compared to −0.29 to −0.30%/°C on a typical TOPCon. The difference is noticeable in warm roof conditions during the summer.

• Warranty — 25 years product and 30 years linear power, with 1% degradation in the first year.

Which LONGi ranges are eligible for PPE2?
Six out of seven part numbers. LR7-54HVH carries PPE2 and PPE2 V2, LR7-60HVHL and LR8-66HVD carry PPE2, and LR7-60HVD is available in a PPE2 V2 version (MOD0765) and with no carbon footprint (MOD0794). Eligibility depends on the batch manufacturing date.

What is the difference between PPE2 and PPE2 V2?
PPE2 caps the carbon footprint at 550 kgCO₂eq/kWp for CRE tenders exceeding 100 kWp. PPE2 V2 tightens this threshold and adds limits on critical metals, with a certificate of limited validity. A module can carry both.

What is the difference between the LR7-54HVH, LR7-60HVD and LR8-66HVD ranges?
The number of cells and the glazing. LR7-54HVH: 54 cells, single-pane, 1800 mm, 21.6 kg. LR7-60HVD: 60 cells, Dual glass bifacial, 1990 mm, 28 kg. LR8-66HVD: 66 cells, Dual glass Bifacial, 2382 mm, 33.5 kg. The power output is derived from the format; it does not define the product range.

In what cases does back contact differ from TOPCon?
On an unobstructed roof, the difference in usable energy production remains limited. On a roof with shading or a constrained surface area, it widens: the cell-by-cell management of shading and the 240 Wp /m² often make it possible to avoid an optimizer or to maintain the target power without exceeding the pan.

Which LONGi range is suitable for a roof with low load-bearing capacity?
LR7-60HVHL. Lightweight single-pane version at 16.3 kg for 1990 × 1134 mm, or approximately 7.2 kg/m² compared to 28 kg for the Dual glass of the same format. It retains the back contact HPBC 2.0 and the performance of the himo X10 series.
