Founded in 2007 and based in Saint-Priest (69), SMA France has 35 employees and a local online service providing optimal technical support for the commissioning and maintenance of SMA systems. For any photovoltaic project involving grid injection, self-consumption with or without storage, off-grid installation, or integration with electromobility, SMA offers a tailored, modular solution.

SMA will double its production capacity in Germany by 2024
By 2024, SMA Solar Technology AG will double the production capacity of its main site in Niestetal/Kassel, Germany, increasing it from 21 gigawatts to nearly 40 gigawatts. The new factory, covering approximately 47,000 m², will primarily produce systems for the large-scale photovoltaic power plant segment and will create more than 200 new jobs.

New production lines and automation: SMA expands its electronics production
SMA Solar Technology AG is investing in electronics production. By the end of 2024, the company will invest approximately twelve million euros in expanding printed circuit board production at its Niestetal/Kassel site. This will enable SMA to meet the growing demand for modern and more efficient inverters and battery inverters.
