SMA will double its production capacity in Germany by 2024
By 2024, SMA Solar Technology AG will double the production capacity of its main site in Niestetal/Kassel, Germany, from 21 gigawatts to nearly 40 gigawatts. The new factory, covering approximately 47,000 m², will primarily produce systems for the large-scale photovoltaic power plant segment and will create more than 200 new jobs.

New production lines and robotization: SMA expands its electronic production
SMA Solar Technology AG is investing in electronics production. By the end of 2024, the company will invest some twelve million euros in expanding printed circuit board production at the Niestetal/Kassel site.
